An early leading candidate has possibly emerged in Baltimore's offensive coordinator search.
According to The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson and Jeff Zrebiec, Ravens coach John Harbaugh met with Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase on Monday night. Gase has conducted Denver's offense the past two seasons. During his time in this position, Denver's offense has put up a ton of yards and points, drawing more attention to his name for other jobs.
However, the one thing working against Gase is the notion that he's been running Peyton Manning's offense, not his own. Manning does have more control over the offense than most could ever dream of, which is why that concern could be raised.
Even so, Gase, 36, is considered to be a rising star in NFL circles and could be an interesting person for Joe Flacco to work under.
While Gase may be in the forefront early, the Ravens are likely to due to take their time and do their due diligence in this search.
