Ravens status with exclusive rights free agents

What will the Ravens do with their ERFAs?

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Ravens have 11 Exclusive Rights Free Agents. An exclusive rights free agent cannot be signed to another team unless their current club chooses not to re-sign them.

So let's take a look at who may or may not get an offer.

WR Kamar Aiken

Aiken had humble expectations entering training camp, at first fighting to stay in the NFL. And when he did make the team it appeared that he would be a special-teamer. He did play on special teams and was very good at it, but Aiken also became a quality No. 3 receiver for the Ravens offense. I think he gets brought back for a year or two.

CB Tramain Jacobs

Jacobs spent most of the season on the practice squad, and went to IR after getting promoted to the active roster. If he comes back, it's probably for a camp competition.

OL Ryan Jensen

Jensen spent most of the season on the practice squad before getting promoted after Rick Wagner's season-ending injury. I think that he comes back to provide depth, seeing as Jah Reid likely won't be coming back, and Gino Gradkowski could be a cap cut.

LS Ryan McDermott and Patrick Scales

These two were only brought in after an inordinate injury streak at the Long Snapper position. I think Morgan Cox comes back fine, and these two don't get offers.

DE Steven Means

Means was a practice squad player who was frequently inactive on game-day when he got promoted. If he comes back, it's as a practice squad player.

CB Rashaan Melvin

Melvin will probably be brought back for depth or at the very least he'll compete with whatever rookie corner the Ravens draft.

TE Phillip Supernaw

Supernaw went back and forth from the practice squad and caught two passes from Joe Flacco. He could get brought back, especially if Dennis Pitta or Owen Daniels can't.

RB Fitzgerald Toussaint

He didn't see much action, but he could get a chance to prove himself in camp.

S Brynden Trawick

Trawick saw some time as a defensive safety as well as special teams, but I don't think he gets retained this year.

DT Casey Walker

Walker played in one game against the Cleveland Browns and the Ravens have plenty of defensive tackles. If he stays it's for the practice squad.
