Ravens-Bengals inactives: Lardarius Webb is out, will not play

The Ravens will only have three cornerbacks available for Sunday's game.

Mitch Stringer-USA TODAY Sports

The Ravens endured a bit of a setback on the defensive side of the ball.

They will be without cornerback Lardarius Webb for the season-opener against Cincinnati. Early in the preseason, Webb injured his back, which caused him to miss every exhibition game. It was expected that he'd be back in time for this Week 1 game against the Bengals.

Instead, the Ravens will go with just three active cornerbacks today in Jimmy Smith, Asa Jackson and Chykie Brown. You have to wonder if Smith will in fact shadow A.J. Green throughout the game given how thin the Ravens are at the position now. Safety Anthony Levine has experience playing corner and Terrence Brooks has done some nickel this preseason.

Here are both teams' inactives:

Ravens inactives: CB Lardarius Webb, WR Michael Campanaro, LB Arthur Brown, OL John Urschel, OL Jah Reid, WR Deonte Thompson, RB Fitzgerald Toussaint.

Bengals inactives: WR Marvin Jones, RB Rex Burkhead, WR James Wright, CB Darqueze Dennard, OG T.J. Johnson LB Sean Porter, DE Will Clarke
