One day he's on. The next day he's off. That's been life thus far for running back Fitzgerald Toussaint.
But hey, he can't complain. He's been on the 53-man roster for two of Baltimore's three games thus far, which is always nice for the bank account. However, he was once again waived on Tuesday as the Ravens decided to re-sign receiver Deonte Thompson back to the 53-man roster.
Thompson was waived this past Saturday, a day before the Ravens' game against the Browns. He was let go so that the Ravens could have a third running back active for the game as Bernard Pierce was a no-go with a thigh injury.
The Ravens now have seven receivers on the roster once again. Toussaint will head to waivers where he'll presumably clear. And when he does, it's likely he winds up back on the practice squad now that there's an open spot due to Josh Bynes leaving for Detroit's 53-man roster.
