Baltimore Beatdown's Ravens-Steelers predictions

Here are our predictions for Thursday night's Ravens-Steelers game.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

With the week going the way it did, getting these predictions in a timely manner fell far down the list of priorities. That said, we at least got some compiled for Thursday night's game against Pittsburgh.

Matthew Stevens: The Steelers come out crisp to start the game while the Ravens continue to be flat out of the gate. Going up 10 - 3 by halftime, the Ravens make adjustments, utilize a no huddle offense and hammer the Steelers tired defense with 20 points in the second half to walk away with this game after a tough week. Prediction:
23 Ravens, 17 Steelers

Rocky Friedman: No matter what, when these two teams meet, it's going to be a close game. Most of the time the score ends with a three point differential and I don't think this time will be different. I find it extremely unlikely that the Ravens lose two straight games at home so I think that they take this defensive battle. Prediction: Ravens 17, Steelers 14

Dylan Guy: The Steelers offense gets the early jump on a distracted Ravens team. Gary Kubiak and Joe Flacco make half time adjustments to take a early 4th quarter lead on a Justin Tucker kick but ultimately give up the go ahead scores of two field goals late in the game to fall to 0-2. Prediction: Steelers 27, Ravens 24

Jason Butt: From the football perspective, the Ravens knew they'd be without Ray Rice this week anyway, so his expulsion from the team won't affect them from a gameplan standpoint. However, the Ben Roethlisberger-to-Antonio Brown combination looked quite impressive last week as the Steelers notch a close win. Prediction: Steelers 23, Ravens 20

Daniel Park: The emotional week has take its toll on the Ravens and it will show in tonight's performance. A loss would exacerbate the negative attention surrounding a team that has been dealing with adversity since the start of the offseason. But a loss could, however, provides a spark in the locker room and the Ravens punish their next opponent, the Cleveland Browns. Prediction: Steelers 27 Ravens 17

Kyle Barber: Drops aren't as much of a problem as last game. The Ravens come out hot and score TDs consecutively and then cool off from Steelers adjustments. Justin Tucker posts a pair of field goals and they can't complete a comeback. Prediction: Ravens 20, Steelers 17
