Steve Smith looking forward to Week 4 showdown against Panthers

After scoring touchdown, Smith looking into a camera and put the Panthers on blast.

Patrick Smith

Steve Smith is the kind of competitor that isn't going to overlook any opponent on a given Sunday (or Thursday).

But you'd be fooling yourself if Baltimore's Week 4 game against Carolina isn't on his mind still. With Smith turning 35, the Panthers decided to release arguably the greatest player in the history of the franchise. After scoring his 80-yard touchdown in this past Sunday's 23-16 loss to Cincinnati, Smith spoke into a camera from the sideline and put his former organization on blast.

"And if you f------ think I can't play, you're going to find out Week 4, m-----f-----," Smith said.

Here's the clip, which comes at the end of a segment done on the NBC Sports Network's NFL Turning Point program.

Smith will look to make more plays like the 80-yard touchdown Thursday night against the Steelers.
