Tampa Bay: The Buccaneers have demoted Jamon Meredith to the second string as a result of his poor performance against the Jaguars. They have been linked as a potential trade partner to the 49ers for Alex Boone, who has not ended his holdout still.

New Orleans: Drew Brees dressed out for Tuesday's practice but isn't fully participating yet.

New York Jets: The Jets' cornerbacks took a hit when Dexter McDougle tore his ACL and will have to miss the season and Dee Milliner has a high ankle sprain and will miss a few weeks. The Jets say that Michael Vick may do some work in a Wildcat-type role.

New York Giants: Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is participating in individual drills, while Ryan Nassib has been demoted to the third team.

Dallas: Cornerback Orlando Scandrick has been suspended four games for testing positive for banned substances.

Cleveland: Johnny Manziel says that there is no locker room rift between quarterbacks. Also the Browns signed Rex Grossman.

Miami: The Dolphins released quarterback Pat Devlin and signed Brady Quinn, who is now on his eighth NFL team. Safety Reshad Jones was suspended four games for violating the NFL's substance policy.

Denver: The Denver Broncos were penalized five times for violating the NFL's new Legion of Boom rule. Their opponents were surprisingly penalized zero times.

Cincinnati: Matt Scott left it all on the field against the Chiefs, as he vomited twice on the field. Also starting wide receiver Marvin Jones will miss the first few weeks of 2014 with a foot injury.

Pittsburgh: The Steelers rush defense has to be a concern, as they allowed Rashad Jennings to run for a 76 yard touchdown and the Giants to run for 171 yards total. On the other hand, that Dri Archer is fast. He took a screen pass down the field for 46 yards. Also they intend on signing offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert to an extension.

New England: Aaron Dobson and Dominique Easley have reported for practice, Rob Gronkowski has not yet been cleared for contact.

Minnesota: Matt Cassell will keep the starting job for at least another week, while Linval Joseph was shot in the leg at a nightclub. He says he'll be back soon.
