It's the news that was feared the moment he was carted off the field.
Rookie defensive Brent Urban has sustained a major knee injury that will require a long-term recovery, reports The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson.

While there are no specifics at this time, such as whether particular ligaments were torn, it does appear a worst-case scenario has presented itself. Urban was expected to compete for playing time at the five-technique position and potentially play a part on special teams.
Urban injured his knee on a play that also injured rookie Timmy Jernigan. Jernigan's injury is not regarded as serious, John Harbaugh told reporters on Wednesday.
In other injury news, Wilson also reported that rookie receiver Jeremy Butler, who has a sprained knee, should return to the field soon.
