Pro Bowl wide receiver Jacoby Jones praised Steve Smith not only for his ability play but the wisdom he brings to the Ravens offense.
"The locker room period, he's [Smith] still teaching us as he's playing ... he's still telling me things that I'm doing, and I'm learning from him. He's teaching us all, that's a big aspect to have. A guy that can teach us. Wisdom."
The veteran is outstanding in practice, and everybody's acknowledging.
In this lighthearted interview with NFL Network, Jones also expressed how he felt after the infamous kickoff return gaffe against the Steelers.
After being brought down Jones said that he pointed at Tomlin and alluded to Kevin Hart's joke, "You're something else, I wasn't ready."
Jones added that it's good to reunite with Offensive Coordinator Gary Kubiak and that the wideout is finishing his former coach's sentences during meetings. Jones noted that how "crazy" it is that he still knows the [Kubiak's] offense like "the back of my hand."
Jones is looking forward to see the offense go and added that the implementation of the West Coast scheme is "not a hard offense to learn."
"Joe picking it up fast. Tyrod is. All of the receivers, the running backs, the offensive line. Everybody's picking it up fast."
In Jones' words, swiggity.
