Chapas, who played college football at Georgia, was a seventh-round pick in the 2011 draft by the Dallas Cowboys. He was released but played on the Cowboys' practice squad. He was moved the active roster late in the year and started a game for Dallas in 2011.
He spent time with Detroit's practice squad in 2012 and with the Jaguars on their practice squad last season. The Jaguars signed him to their offseason roster but released him earlier this month.
