The Ravens selected a professor in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft.
Literally.
Baltimore took Penn State offensive guard John Urschel with the 175th overall pick. If intelligence is important to the offensive line, Urschel certainly fits the bill. Just check out this tweet.
John Urschel was an academic All-American at Penn State. He also taught Trigonometry and Analytic Geometry to undergrads last year.

Urschel completed his master's degree in math education this month, all while preparing for his NFL future. Once his football days are done, he'll return to school to work on obtaining a Ph.D.
As a football player, Urschel is a versatile lineman that can play both guard and center. A tough and rugged player, he's had a great deal of experience going against Big Ten competition.
