Defense, defense, defense.
The Ravens continued building that side of the ball by selecting Virginia defensive tackle Brent Urban with the 134th overall pick in the fourth round. It's definitely an interesting pick considering the team had already taken Timmy Jernigan in the second.
But stockpiling depth has never been a thing the Ravens have shied away from. Urban has the makeup of being a five-technique on this defense, so he could be groomed to be Chris Canty's replacement after the 2015 season, at the latest.
A raw talent, Urban has plenty to work on. But it was interesting to hear coach John Harbaugh briefly talk about him on the NFL Network shortly after the fourth-round picks came in.
"I thought second round at the latest," Harbaugh said.
We'll see if this pick turns out to be a steal. It certainly has best player available written all over it, based on the Ravens' preference going off the draft board.
