Mocking the Draft: Ravens go with Zack Martin in first round

This weeks mock draft is just one round.

The theme of this week's mock from SB Nation's Mocking the Draft is what feels right.

Throw out the latest news and rumors suggesting certain players are linked to certain teams. This mock is about Dan Kadar figuring out which players fit where, while stating the case as to why a team will pick them. For the Ravens, he heads back to the offensive line to suggest why the Ravens would, or should, take Notre Dame's Zack Martin.

Kadar writes:

"Martin is going to be a coveted player on draft day. He's capable of playing offensive tackle, starting four years there for Notre Dame. But at Senior Bowl practices, he showed he can line up inside and be a powerhouse guard. Martin could play either spot on the right side, which makes him an asset if the Ravens want to try Kelechi Osemele at tackle."

It's hard to argue with this pick. Martin has a lot of game experience and is an extremely tough, versatile lineman. He'd be in the mix to start immediately and would help finalize the offensive line. The only way this pick backfires is if Rick Wagner establishes himself as a starter in training camp. But even then, the Ravens would have a great backup at a position where you can't have enough talent.

Martin would be a heck of a pick for the Ravens if he's available a 17. Kadar's notion of putting players with what feels right, does feel right in this instance.
