Report: Indiana receiver Cody Latimer visits Ravens

Ravens could be in market for fast-rising receiver Cody Latimer.

Not many prospects are rising up draft boards the way Cody Latimer is.

Early this offseason, Latimer was an afterthought, a potential mid-round pick. After running a 4.4 40-yard dash and impressing scouts at his Pro Day, he's since become a hot name that teams have been intrigued about.

The potential exists now for Latimer to be a first-round draft choice on May 8.

And one team that could take him appears to be the Baltimore Ravens. According to The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson, Latimer visited the Ravens on Sunday.

This isn't the first time the Ravens have showed interest in Latimer. In fact, it would appear the Ravens have showed more interest in Latimer than many other receivers, based on previous reports. Where there's smoke, there's fire, and this appears to be a situation for fans to monitor.

However, it would be tough to assume that Latimer would be a receiver to target with the 17th overall pick. Thus, if possible, this sounds like a scenario for Baltimore to trade back for. It would definitely be considered a success if the Ravens could draft Latimer later in the first round while accruing an extra pick later.

Here's a highlight tape of Latimer:
