The 6-foot-6 270-pound tight end prospect met with the Ravens. The Ravens, looking for a big and powerful blocking tight end appear to have Niklas in their crosshairs and it is easy to see why.

Niklas, the nephew of Hall of Fame offensive lineman Bruce Matthews started every game last year and is reported to be able to benchpress over 400-pounds which has earned him the nickname 'Thor' and 'Hercules'. He caught 32 passes for 498 yards and five touchdowns and grades out as a second round pick in the 2014 NFL draft. Niklas is a converted defensive end/outside linebacker that has only played 20 games at the tight end position, but has already showed that he can be a well balanced player with a tremendous upside.

While the Ravens have resigned Dennis Pitta and have signed veteran Owen Daniels, Pitta has had given some concern about his ability to stay healthy consistently and Daniels is only a one year rental with his own health issues. The Ravens would love to have a big body to help the running game and would look for Niklas to be a feature in the short passing game.
