On Thursday, Ray Rice was indicted on a third degree assault charge for assaulting his fiancée, Janay Palmer.
On Friday, the two were wed. According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Rice and Palmer were married in a private ceremony that had been planned for for at least a couple of weeks.
Rice and Palmer were arrested in February for simple assault, after both sides allegedly hit each other. On Thursday, Palmer's charge was dropped while a grand jury indicted Rice on a third-degree aggravated assault charge. A video TMZ obtained shortly after Rice's arrest shows the running back dragging an unconscious Palmer out of an elevator.
Rice is coming off of his worst season of his career, running for 660 yards and four touchdowns as Baltimore's top running back. Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti, at the NFL owners meetings, told various reporters that Rice will definitely be with the franchise in 2014.
