The Ravens need some help at safety and could try to find it with a potential prospect out of Washington State.
According to The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson, the Ravens are hosting Washington State safety Deone Bucannon for a visit that's spanned over Thursday and Friday. While Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Calvin Pryor have received the majority of the attention at the position this draft season, Bucannon beat both out for AP first-team All-American honors in 2013.
At the NFL combine, Bucannon impressed scouts with a 4.49 40-yard dash, a broad jump of 10 feet 6 inches and a vertical leap of 36.5 inches. He also bench pressed 225 pounds 19 times.
As The Sun story mentions, Bucannon has been training with former Ravens defensive back Fabian Washington.
A hard tackler, here's a video displaying how strong of a presence Bucannon is at safety.
