Ravens' 2014 draft order

With the addition of the compensatory picks, the Ravens have 8 total draft picks in the 2014 draft.

Debby Wong-USA TODAY Sports

After adding a league high four additional compensatory draft picks through the loss of players like Paul Kruger and Dannell Ellerbe, the Ravens quickly become stacked with a total of eight draft picks as they enter the 2014 NFL Draft.

First Round: 17th overall

Second Round: 48th overall

Third Round: 79th overall / 99th overall*

Fourth Round: 134th overall* / 138th overall*

Fifth Round: 175th overall*

Sixth Round: 194th overall

* - Compensatory pick

You might be asking where the seventh round pick is at after trading Bryant McKinnie to the Dolphins. Unfortunately, the team has been reporting that as a 2014 seventh round pick while it has actually been for the 2015 draft, so we won't be seeing that until next year. The team is also missing its fourth and fifth round picks due to the trade for left tackle Eugene Monroe. Monroe just signed a 5 year, $37.5 million contract this offseason to keep him in Baltimore through the 2018 season. We don't have our original seventh round pick due to our trade for A.Q. Shipley from Indianapolis, leaving us empty in the last round of the draft this year.

While there are very few holes on the team after filling major ones with free agent signings and the resigning of their own players, expect some shuffling around of these picks come draft day. Given that general manager Ozzie Newsome has an excellent track record of getting top players in all rounds of the draft, having eight draft picks and a pick in every round except the final round should allow him to move around and grab players that are a great value. Some of the names include Ed Reed, Joe Flacco, Jonathan Ogden, Ray Lewis, Torrey Smith, Terrell Suggs, Marshal Yanda, Lardarius Webb and too many others to list.

Share some of your ideas for each round and what you would do if you were Ozzie. Let the full mock drafts begin!
