A lot of draft experts had the Ravens taking Texas A&M receiver Mike Evans in the first round early during the mock season.
That changed when Evans had a great combine and began being talked about as a potential top 10 pick. Well, that's changed, at least for the Mocking the Draft guys. In his latest three-round mock, Dan Kadar has the Ravens taking Evans in the first round at 17th overall.
"Offensive tackle could become a huge need for the Ravens depending on how free agency goes, but the value of Mike Evans at wide receiver is too much to pass up," he wrote. "Baltimore’s offense felt the loss of Anquan Boldin last year, so finding another target for Joe Flacco should be a priority heading into the 2014 season."
In the second round, with the 48th overall pick, Kadar has the Ravens addressing offensive tackle. It's a solid pick too in Ohio State's Jack Mewhort.
"As free agency begins, the Ravens have holes at both offensive tackle spots," Kadar wrote. "Mewhort is capable of playing either side of the line."
In the third round, Kadar has the Ravens addressing the defensive side of the ball. He has the Ravens taking Florida State linebacker Christian Jones.
"After wide receiver and offensive line, the front seven might be an area the Ravens address," Kadar wrote. "Christian Jones showed the ability to move all around the formation in a 3-4 defense at Florida State and would be a nice fit in Baltimore."
