The Ravens announced cornerback Antoine Cason is now officially a member of the Ravens after signing a contract with the club.
Cason, who was previously with the Carolina Panthers, will replace Danny Gorrer on the 53-man roster. Gorrer is now on the season-ending injured reserve last after tearing his MCL and PCL in this past Sunday's 28-13 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Cason does have two interceptions this season, which would be the positive to take away from the move. The negative is that he'd clearly fallen out of favor with the Panthers' coaching staff, despite the fact that Carolina is somehow not mathematically eliminated from the NFC South race. Though Cason wasn't performing well for the Panthers, perhaps a chance of scenery can help things for the former first-round pick.
The Ravens also made a couple of practice squad moves. The first is signing receiver Aldrick Robinson, who had plenty of game experience with Washington. Robinson fills the spot left open by Deonte Thompson, who joined Buffalo's 53-man roster on Monday.
The Ravens also signed tight end Allen Reisner to the practice squad and cut receiver LaQuan Williams.
