Ravens to sign cornerback Antoine Cason

For Antoine Cason's sake, hopefully his luck is better than others in Baltimore's cornerback group.

The Ravens' revolving door of cornerbacks has continued.

On Tuesday, the Ravens are expected to sign cornerback Antoine Cason to the cursed group in Baltimore, according to The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson. Cason was recently released by the Carolina Panthers after recording two interceptions and four forced fumbles for them in 2014.

Desperate for bodies at the position, Cason will be asked to simply be serviceable. The gameplan should continue to be putting a ton of pressure on the quarterback to force quick throws from quarterbacks. Therefore, the secondary won't be asked to do too much given the losses and injuries the group has had to deal with this year.

Cason is in his seventh NFL season and was a first-round draft pick by San Diego in 2008. The presumed corresponding roster move would be for the Ravens to place cornerback Danny Gorrer, who tore his PCL and MCL against the Dolphins, on injured reserve.
