Danny Gorrer is the latest Ravens cornerback to sustain a serious injury.
Gorrer, during Baltimore's 28-13 win over Miami, tore his PCL and MCL and will miss the remainder of the season, the team announced. The Ravens' cornerback group has sustained some bad luck this year, as this is the fifth major injury to the group.
First, Lardarius Webb injured his back during the preseason and has played the majority of the season with the ailment. Asa Jackson was put on injured reserve-designated to return with a toe injury and was finally healthy enough to come back this past Sunday. Jimmy Smith then sustained a Lisfranc injury and was placed on season-ending injury reserve. Rookie Tramain Jacobs was also placed on injured reserve with a thigh injury.
This doesn't even count Aaron Ross's fluke Achilles tear during his conditioning test on the first day of training camp.
Gorrer was in his second stint with the club after the Lions waived him earlier this season. Gorrer was brought in to help a unit that was enduring a disastrous campaign. Unfortunately, his season ends prematurely.
