Ravens-Titans inactives: DeAngelo Tyson surprisingly deactivated for Sunday's game

This is the first time all season that DeAngelo Tyson is inactive.

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

Seeing defensive end DeAngelo Tyson as inactive certainly raised my eyebrows this morning.

Tyson is the definition of a steady presence on defense, despite not being flashy or putting up gaudy numbers on the line. Either way, maybe a message is being sent to the third-year defensive linemen out of Georgia. Making Tyson's deactivation more surprising is that Terrence Cody, fresh off the physically unable to perform list, is also inactive.

Safety Terrence Brooks, inactive a week ago, is up and will play this week. Cornerbacks Danny Gorrer and Tramain Jacobs are also active and expected to play. Cornerback Rashaan Melvin, signed off of Miami's practice squad a day ago, will not play.

Here's the full inactive list:

RAVENS INACTIVES: DT Terrence Cody, DE DeAngelo Tyson, C Gino Gradkowski, OL Jah Reid, CB Rashaan Melvin, WR Michael Campanaro, S Brynden Trawick

TITANS INACTIVES: QB Charlie Whitehurst, WR Kris Durham, RB Antonio Andrews, CB Brandon Harris, OT Will Svitek, TE Brett Brackett, DT Sammie Hill
