Baltimore Beatdown's Ravens-Saints predictions

New, comments

Here's what we think will happen during tonight's game.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Matthew Stevens: The Ravens are ill-equipped to deal with Drew Brees and company. The Saints go wild on a Ravens team that is able to keep the score closer than it should be. Man do I hope my streak of being completely wrong continues. Prediction: Saints 31, Ravens 20

Rocky Friedman: Despite the Saints record of 4-6, this is an extremely dangerous team. With Drew Brees, you are always going to be tough to beat. They also win the first three games at home this season, and although the lost two since then, that crowd is tough to deal with. I think the Ravens drop a close one to Brees and the Saints. Prediction: Saints 23, Ravens 20

Daniel Park: Both teams are evenly motivated to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Saints lead their division with a 4-6 record, the Ravens are bottom feeders of the AFC North at 6-4. Both teams are facing a must-win situation as we inch closer to the postseason show. Tonight is personal for Drew Brees as he's never beaten the Ravens in his career. Steve Smith Sr.'s wisdom shared with the team should be the push Baltimore needs to take the cake. Prediction: Ravens 31, Saints 23

Chuck Mills: I don't care if the Saints are at home, or what their prime time record is. They're bad. Haloti Ngata, Brandon Williams and Timmy Jernigan take advantage of a struggling Saints interior line to pressure Brees all night, while the Ravens take to the ground with Justin Forsett scoring twice and Lorenzo Taliaferro once. Joe Flacco hits Torrey Smith deep for a score. Terrell Suggs' 100th sack is a safety on Drew Brees. Prediction: Ravens 30, Saints

Jason Butt: The Saints have built a reputation over the years as a high-flying offense that's tough to contain. That's just not the case this year. The passing threat has been minimized and the Saints have relied a lot more on Mark Ingram in the running game. With the Ravens' front seven being an active group, the defense keeps the Saints from establishing momentum. And the Ravens improve the AFC North to 3-0 this week. Prediction: Ravens 27, Saints 20
