Ravens sign tight end Allen Reisner to practice squad, cut Emmanuel Ogbuehi

Reisner has had stints with the Vikings, Jaguars and Patriots.

The Baltimore Ravens added tight end Allen Reisner to the practice squad on Monday.

Reisner was originally undrafted out of Iowa in 2011 and began his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings. In his career, which has also included time with the Jaguars and Patriots, Reisner has played in 15 games with three starts. He's caught seven passes for 58 yards.

To make room for Reisner on the 10-man practice squad, the Ravens waived tight end Emmanuel Ogbuehi.

The logic behind this decision likely lies in having a tight end with game experience on the practice squad in case something happens to either Owen Daniels or Crockett Gillmore. That was the thinking with Phillip Supernaw, who saw action in three games for the Ravens this year.
