The Ravens brought back a familiar face on Tuesday.

The Ravens have brought back receiver Jace Davis, signed him to the team's practice squad on Tuesday.

Davis was with the Ravens during training camp and the preseason. He originally signed with the franchise as an undrafted free agent this past May out of Northern Colorado. He showcased some good moments in practice, though the position group was fairly deep back in August.

He didn't make it to final cuts as Davis was waived for cornerback Derek Cox, who wound up never playing a game for the Ravens.

The practice squad spot opened up for Davis after the Ravens promoted tight end Phillip Supernaw to the 53-man roster over the weekend. The corresponding roster move for Supernaw was to waive tight end Ryan Taylor. Taylor was claimed off of waivers by the Browns.

During his collegiate career at Northern Colorado, Davis totaled 2,470 yards and 16 touchdowns. Davis has been without a team since being cut by Baltimore.
