As I wrote earlier this week, it hasn't been a banner season thus far for Ravens wide receiver Jacoby Jones.
Dropped passes, bad decisions returning kickoffs and muffed punts aren't ways to assure yourself more playing time. However, things are looking up for Jones as his biggest competition for playing time on offense, second-year receiver Marlon Brown, is listed as Doubtful on the Ravens injury report with a pelvis injury.
Brown and Jones have similar stats through the first five weeks of the season. Each have four catches and Jones only edges Brown by four additional receiving yards.
For both receivers, they'd expect to produce more by this point, but at least now Jones will likely get the snaps that Brown was talking away form him thus far.
