Where the Ravens' coaching staff stands at this time

New, comments

Only two coaching positions remain open.

With Jim Hostler moving on to Buffalo to be a senior offensive assistant, the Ravens are in need of a new receivers coach.

Baltimore is also still looking for a running backs coach, as well.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Ravens were very fortunate to have Steve Spagnuolo on staff already to take over the secondary.

So now, Gary Kubiak and the offensive coaches have two positions to finalize and both could use a solid leader. Running backs were an issue last year with Ray Rice having his lowest output since his rookie season. Outside of Torrey Smith, the Ravens' receivers were hit or miss any given week.

Two solid hires to develop the positions would serve the franchise well.

As mentioned before, the Ravens could attempt to go get names like Chick Harris or Bobby Turner, both of which have coached under Gary Kubiak. Or, perhaps, maybe the college ranks could offer someone solid.

Finding a receivers coach may be a little tougher. This late into January, not too many position coaches around the NFL are looking for jobs, especially lateral ones. So the Ravens will have to do their due diligence to find a worthy coach for this position.
