What happened to Elvis Dumervil didn't happen to Michael Huff.
Dumervil had a great start to the year for the Ravens. Huff did not. And as a result, the Ravens cut ties with one of their free agent acquisitions.
But as the Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec pointed out, Huff then found a home with Denver and will now be a part of a team competing for the Super Bowl. It's funny how things can work out for some players. Whereas Elvis Dumervil has a fax mishap and winds up in Baltimore instead of playing for a Super Bowl of his own.
Huff has been mostly a backup in Denver and only has one tackle in two games during the postseason. It wasn't like the Ravens would have gained anything or missed out on any kind of production by letting Huff go midseason.
But Huff does get to be on a team that's favored to win the Super Bowl in two weeks. Dumervil will have to hope he can help the Ravens get back to the big game next year.
