Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata has decided not to participate in this year's Pro Bowl after earning his fifth consecutive nod to the NFL's all-star game.

Ngata decided not to play in the game because his wife is expecting their third son this coming Tuesday. With family coming first, Ngata's priority is to be with them as opposed to the Pro Bowl.

Ngata finished the 2013 regular season with 52 tackles and 1.5 sacks. He spent most of his time inside at nose tackle. Replacing Ngata in the Pro Bowl is Cowboys defensive tackle Jason Hatcher. Hatcher tallied 11 sacks this year and will make his first Pro Bowl appearance.

The Ravens will still have three players representing them in the Pro Bowl. Terrell Suggs, Marshal Yanda and Justin Tucker were all voted to the game by the fans, players and coaches. They will be selected to teams in a fantasy-style draft on Jan. 21 and 22. The first day of the draft will see offensive linemen, fullbacks and specialists taken, with the second day filling out the rest of the teams.

The Pro Bowl will take place on Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on NBC.
