Report: Ravens interview former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan

New, comments

Shanahan could help the Ravens out with their zone running scheme.

The Ravens have identified one potential offensive coordinator already.

According to The Baltimore Sun's Aaron Wilson, the Ravens interviewed former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.

Shanahan has a lot of experience with the zone blocking scheme, something offensive line coach Juan Castillo attempted to implement this season. He was Washington's offensive coordinator, under his father Mike Shanahan, from 2010-2013.

With Shanahan in consideration along with Gary Kubiak, it's apparent the Ravens, if they hire someone outside of the organization, want someone with a solid background in being able to run the ball.
