Jacoby Jones' injury provides opportunity for Marlon Brown

Marlon Brown, come on down. You're the new starter for the Baltimore Ravens.

Doug Pensinger

After colliding with rookie Brynden Trawick on a punt recovery last night, Jacoby Jones was taken into the locker room with a leg injury. After taking a look at Jones' knee, the Baltimore Ravens decided to take him out of the game and put in Marlon Brown, the undrafted rookie free agent out of Georgia.

After further evaluation, it appears as if Brown will be seeing a lot more time in the starting lineup as Jones is expected to miss anywhere from four to six weeks with a sprained MCL in his right knee.

This comes as a huge blow to a Baltimore Ravens team already extremely thin at wide receiver. Brown, however, showed signs of potential in last night's 49-27 loss to Denver (as well as in the preseason), and it will be extremely interesting to see what he can do with this opportunity.

As it goes in Baltimore, next man up.
