Here's this week's roundup of where the Ravens rank in various power rankings:
Pro Football Talk: No. 3
The NBC Sports affiliate doesn't give a reason why the Ravens are its third best team. It just states that's now's not the time to get on the party bus.
SB Nation: No. 7
The dot com guys placed the Ravens at seventh, noting that the Ravens have not surrendered a touchdown since the Week 1 loss to Denver.
Baltimore Sun: No. 7
The local newspaper's Matt Vensel believes Baltimore's win over Houston was quite the statement, even if it didn't garner that much attention nationally.
FOX Sports: No. 8
Brian Billick points out that it's fitting for the Ravens to do so well on defense on an afternoon when Ed Reed (with the Texans) and Ray Lewis (being inducted into the Ring of Honor) were in town.
CBSSports.com: No. 10
Pat Kirwan had the Ravens at 17 last week. They jumped seven spots this week because they beat the Texans without Ray Rice.
ESPN: No. 11
Despite the win over Houston, the folks at ESPN weren't sold on the Ravens enough to move them up any spots. They stayed pat at 11th.
