It was bound to happen at some point.
Justin Tucker had his first multiple-miss game of his career, missing both of his field goal attempts during Baltimore's 14-6 win over Cleveland. It was an uncharacteristic game for the second-year kicker, known for his accuracy and strong leg.
His first miss went wide right on a 50-yard attempt in the first quarter on Baltimore's first drive of the game. Tucker had another chance, a 44-yard attempt in the second quarter that was also pushed wide to the right.
Kickers, even the best, will have those kind of games sometimes. After the game, coach John Harbaugh told reporters that Tucker might have overanalyzed both of the misses.
"Yeah, we've got the wind," Harbaugh said. "He studied it, but it was moving around a bit, and I think he overthought it a little bit. Instead of just knocking it through the cross wind, it was one way and then it was the other way, you just try to guide it sometimes. I think he was trying to guide it through the wind rather than knocking it through the wind. He didn't follow through with his usual assuredness there."
