The Ravens were awarded one claim on Sunday, which was former Falcons linebacker Robert James.

James was released by Atlanta after being a roster casualty for this year's 53-man roster. James was taken by the Falcons in the fifth round of the 2008 draft.

James is an inside linebacker and a bit undersized at 5-11, 224 pounds. However, he makes up for that with speed and athleticism. With Atlanta, he was primarily a special teams player, which will likely be his role with the Ravens. James can play inside and outside linebacker, though the Ravens are deep at both positions.

James participated in all 16 of Atlanta's regular season games in 2012. He tied safety Chris Hope with a team-best 10 special teams tackles. He notched his first tackle in Week 5 against the Redskins.

James played his college football at Arizona State, where he earned first-team All-Pac 10 honors. He started 19 of the 42 games he appeared in with the Sun Devils.
