There weren't too many positive things to take from the Baltimore Ravens 34-27 Thursday night loss to the Carolina Panthers. One thing, however, that seemed to stand out more than anything else was Joe Flacco's apparent chemistry with rookie free agent Marlon Brown.
Throughout the game it seemed as though Flacco trusted Brown more than some of his other receivers and Brown ended the game with an impressive four catches for 59 yards and a touchdown.
With the roster picture becoming clearer and clearer as we head into week three of the preseason it's time for players to step up or be cut. And with a very strong Thursday night performance, Marlon Brown certainly showed that he is stepping up. But the question that now emerges is whether or not this performance was enough for him to make the final roster.
With the Ravens extensive history of finding undrafted gems, I don't think it's entirely unrealistic to say that Brown might have a chance. But I think if he is going to make the team he has to continue to makes strides in practices this week and have another strong showing next week against the St. Louis Rams.
So what do you guys think? Has Brown played his way onto the final roster?
