Including those that have been absent from previous practice, the Ravens are without 11 players during Sunday's open practice at M&T Bank Stadium.
Those 10 players are receiver Marlon Brown (undisclosed), safety Deonte Thompson (ankle), tight end Ed Dickson (hamstring), running back Bernard Pierce (knee), right guard Marshal Yanda (shoulder), cornerback Chris Johnson (undisclosed), inside linebacker Jameel McClain (spinal cord contusion), outside linebacker Courtney Upshaw (undisclosed), inside linebacker Bryan Hall (undisclosed) and defensive end Marcus Spears (undisclosed).
With Harbaugh's recent attitude on not disclosing injuries, it's unlikely he reveals what Brown, Johnson, Upshaw, Hall and Spears missed practice. He also doesn't have since it's not a requirement to disclose injuries during the preseason.
Training camp is a needed part of the NFL. You cant waltz into a season without practicing. The NFL could cut down on the number of exhibition games to lessen the number of injuries at full speed. Even so, you're still going to wind up with numerous injuries during practice.
