Texans Place Ed Reed on PUP List

Ed Reed will begin training camp with the Houston Texans on the physically unable to perform list.

USA TODAY Sports

Former Ravens safety Ed Reed was placed on the physically unable to perform by his new team, the Houston Texans, as training camps open up across the league. Reed is underwent surgery back in April to repair a partially torn labrum, the team also placed running back Arian Foster on the PUP list.

Reed, a future Hall of Famer, has been plagued by injury the last few years and it has clearly made an impact on the football field. He has become visibly more timid on the field and often shys away from contact, whereas at the beginning of his career he was not afraid to lay a big hit on a receiver. Reed's injuries have even forced him to contemplate retirement the past couple of offseasons, hopefully he can return at 100% this season and continue to build his NFL legacy.
