UPDATE: Jones failed his conditioning test on Monday, the NFL Network first reported. This is why he was given the active/non-football injury list designation.
Ravens receiver Jacoby Jones has also been added to the non-football injury list, according to the daily NFL transactions sheet.
It's unknown what injury Jones could have sustained at this time. It's also unclear as to whether he was injured off-site or if he simply failed a conditioning test.
If Jones misses any upcoming practices, his absence could create some opportunities early for the other receivers competing for roster spots.
Among those competing to round out the receiving group are Deonte Thompson, Tommy Streeter, Aaron Mellette and LaQuan Williams.
As for other injured Ravens, such as Lardarius Webb (ACL), Terrence Cody (hip) and Haloti Ngata (knee), the organization don't have to designate them for the physically unable to perform or non-football injury lists until Baltimore's first full training camp practice, which is scheduled for Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
Cody and Ngata appear to be likely candidates for the PUP list. Webb has a shot at avoiding the list as the Ravens prepare to ease him back into practice. Either way, don't look for any of these three players to participate much in camp.
Meanwhile, eyes will now be directed in Jones' view as to what injury he is dealing with.
