Recently, the Ravens cut ties with fullback Vonta Leach when they couldn't come to an agreement to reduce his $3M salary. As it turns out, however, the Ravens $2M offer may be the best offer that Leach will see across the entire league.
Leach has garnered interest from the Miami Dolphins, Houston Texans, and New York Giants. It appears, however, that these teams have not offered the kind of money that Leach was hoping for. The Ravens are reportedly still monitoring the situation and the chances of Leach returning to Baltimore could, in fact, be much higher than we initially thought (especially after Leach's twitter rant stating that he was done in Baltimore). While Leach is arguably the best fullback in the league, his return may not be as crucial to the Ravens' success as most fans believe. The Ravens averaged 4.1 yards per carry while Leach was on the field in 2012, and 4.5 yards per carry on plays where Leach was not on the field.
