Ravens Waive Five After Rookie Mini Camp

The Baltimore Ravens waived five players after their short stint with the team that only lasted one weekend.

USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens have waived Ole' Miss basketball star/ tight end Murphy Holloway as well as three other undrafted rookies. The team also cut former New Orleans Saints defensive tackle Swanson Miller.

Quarterback Nathan Stanley, running back Roy Holley and corner Jose Cheeseborough were among those waived by the team. Stanley was most likely brought in as simply a camp arm for the team to use for the weekend. The other players will try and catch on with other squads before the start of the season but Holloway may call this the end of a short stint in football. The basketball star tweeted this after getting the news from the Ravens:

Got some decisions to make in these next few days....it's good to have options but I hate making like changing decisions.

For many of these young men, the sooner they get cut, the better. If the Ravens are not interested in their services, hopefully they will still have time to work out for another team.
