Yesterday, NBA Center Jason Collins became the first active professional athlete to announce that he is openly gay. In the rather homophobic world of sports locker rooms (see Chris Culliver) , the announcement is obviously a big story because it took an immense amount of courage and I have the utmost respect for Collins for doing so. But is the NFL ready for its gay players to follow suit? Use the comment box to share your feelings and views on the issue, but please keep your arguments civilized and refrain from spewing hateful comments and profanity.
