Wizard Of Oz Strikes Again

Ravens sign Safety Michael Huff to add to their new defense.

Jared Wickerham

Isn't it crazy how just a week ago the sky was falling in Ravens Nation as the current Super Bowl Champions were hemorrhaging players and fans were screaming for someones head to blame it on. Now, here we are just a week later and the Ravens have added a slew of talent to replace the players they lost that very well may be upgrades from the players they let go.

The most recent addition is former Oakland Raiders safety and corner Michael Huff. Huff was a first round pick of the Raiders (7th overall) in the 2006 draft. He is known for being an excellent cover safety and a hard hitter as well. Huff was an All Pro in 2010 and finished this past season with over 15 pass deflections, not bad for a safety. It will be nice to see what he can do on a defense with a good pass rush.

The Ravens have also added defensive linemen Marcus Spears and Chris Canty and , the biggest signing of all, outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil. Oh how things have changed in Charm City in just this short amount of time. The Ravens look to be building a defense that could be dominant in 2013. I can't wait to see what happens next!
