It has been reported by the Denver Post and various other media outlets that the Baltimore Ravens and former Denver Broncos DE, Elvis Dumervil, have come to terms on a five-year deal.
Dumervil (29) has been one of the most elite pass-rushers in the NFL over the last few years and now he comes to a Ravens defense in desperate need of help on the front seven. This move comes after the Baltimore Ravens have lost Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Paul Kruger, and others to free agency this off season. This signing serves as a tourniquet for Baltimore's bleeding defense and will add another pass-rusher to compliment Terrell Suggs.
This is an excellent signing by Ozzie Newsome who has already improved the middle of the Ravens defense already with Marcus Spears and Chris Canty. The exciting part is that Ozzie's work may not be done as the Ravens have the second most picks in the draft this year and it's a pretty safe bet to say at least one of them could be used on a DE/LB.
This just goes to show Ravens fans that Ozzie knows what he is doing. In Ozzie we trust!
