While watching the actual Super Bowl is always awesome (especially awesome for all you Ravens fans this year), another big reason to watch of course are the commercials. And although plenty of them always turn out to be complete duds, there are also always a few that are really good.

Here were a couple of my favorites:
Geico: "Happier Than Dikembe Mutombo"
The former NBA shot-blocking maven is doing a heck of a job getting his name back out there in retirement. First came that crazy Old Spice game, and now this absolutely hilarious Geico commercial featuring Mutombo cackling and waving his finger at people as he swats random items back in their face. Just brilliant.
Allstate: "Apple"
Allstate's "Mayhem" series has been pretty solid over the years, and this is a really excellent entry. We start back in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve and follow mayhem through famous events in history. The ad ends with an ode to the replacement ref debacle, which was a perfect way to finish it off.
Taco Bell: "Viva Young"
I'm not the biggest fan of the fun. song "We Are Young," and I was rather confused at first as to why it was in Spanish. But once we found out at the end that it's an ad for Taco Bell, it makes perfect sense. And the actual commercial itself is darn funny, as old people doing young people things is usually quite the hoot. And I really do love Taco Bell, so that gives it extra points in my book.
