A win would go a long way for the Ravens' postseason hopes.
Though they'd still have a chance with a loss, a win would place them at 6-6 and knock the Steelers down to 5-7. The rest of the AFC after fifth place has floundered all year, which has opened this opportunity for Baltimore at this time.
The Ravens will also be looking for revenge after the Steelers game away with a 19-16 win int he rivalry's first meeting this year.
Both teams have picked up the level of play on defense. Both secondaries have performed well of late, which could keep this game's scoring low once again. Neither team can run the ball, though both teams will likely try to force the issue. The Steelers were able to find success on the ground against the Ravens earlier this year, with Le'Veon Bell running for 93 yards on 19 carries.
However, the Ravens will likely make the necessary adjustments and do a better job to stop Pittsburgh's rushing attack. Jacoby Jones emerging could be a big weapon for the Ravens' offensively.
This is the NFL's best rivalry, in my opinion, and it's shaping out to be another slug-it-out kind of thriller. The home field advantage is the difference, with the Ravens coming away victorious.
Prediction: Ravens 20, Steelers 17
Other Thanksgiving predictions
Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions (-6): The Lions are the most bizarre team in the league. They have the talent to be a top-three team. But something is missing in the knowledge department. They also have one of the most inconsistent red zone offenses. Though Matt Flynn wasn't able to succeed in Seattle and Oakland, he's a pretty good fit for the Packers. Green Bay wins and demoralizes the Motor City fans further. Prediction: Packers 31, Lions 27
Oakland Raiders at Dallas Cowboys (-9.5): The Cowboys' defense will once again be depleted due to injuries, making the 9.5-point line a bit puzzling. The Raiders should be able to keep this interesting with Rashad Jennings and the running game. Darren McFadden returns and is expected to be eased back in. This could be a better game than advertised. Prediction: Cowboys 27, Raiders 24
