NFL power rankings Week 8: Ravens roundup

Here's the Ravens roundup of where they're at in various power rankings around the web.

SB Nation: No. 13

The dot com guys believe the Baltimore offense has been "brutal" to watch this year, considering Ray Rice mustered another three-yard per carry kind of day against Pittsburgh.

CBSSports.com: No. 13

Pat Kirwan seems to be hopeful the Ravens can turn around their misfortune with the No. 13 ranking. He states that with Cleveland and Cincinnati upcoming, Baltimore's AFC North hopes will have a better picture after Week 10.

ESPN: No. 14

The ESPN folks note that Joe Flacco has not tossed a touchdown that's been longer than 20 yards this year.

Pro Football Talk: No. 14

With the Ravens at 3-4 during their bye week, the NBC Sports folks believe Joe Flacco needs to step his play up and earn his next contract.

FOX Sports: No. 17

Former Ravens coach Brian Billick points out that Baltimore is the first team since the 2006 Steelers to win a Super Bowl and then have a losing record through the first seven games of the ensuing season.

Baltimore Sun: NR

The Sun's Matt Vensel only ranks the top 12, and with the Ravens at 3-4, there was no way they were making the list. What's somewhat surprising is that four of the other five outlets listed here have the Ravens just outside the top 12. It shows there are more believers in the Ravens than I thought.
