The Ravens made the decision to go ahead and activate linebacker Jameel McClain to the 53-man roster on Saturday, according to the league's daily transaction list.
It's a good story for McClain, who endured a severe injury last season. Sustaining a spinal cord contusion, there was some thought as to whether McClain could return this year, or even play again.
McClain was determined and stayed patient. Now he'll get to return to the playing field.
As for how much playing time he receives, that remains to be seen. However, it would seem that with McClain activated that he'll play a decent amount, especially with what defensive coordinator Dean Pees said earlier this week.
"If he’s able to go, that’ll be John’s [Harbaugh] decision and the trainer’s and everybody else’s decision," Pees said. "It won’t be ours. But if he’s ready to go, we’ll be ready for him to go."
To make room, the Ravens cut — you guessed it — tight end Billy Bajema. We should all be certain that Bajema will return at some point.
