Is anyone else imagining what a work day for Billy Bajema is like at this point?
One day he's with his teammates at the Owings Mills, Md. facility. That night, perhaps, he's receiving a phone call informing him not to come in.
A couple of mornings later, it seems he's receiving another call, telling him to come in and that he has yet another contract with the organization. Well, on Thursday, he got called back during the season for the third time. Initially, he and Brandon Stokley were playing musical locker room chairs.
Now, maybe Bajema's back as the Ravens cut running back Shaun Draughn to make room for the veteran tight end's roster spot.
It's clear the Ravens want Bajema on for this season. But when making temporary moves, it's also clear there's not a market outside of Baltimore for Bajema.
So what's next for Bajema? Is this his final return? Or will he once again find himself a free agent only for the Ravens to bring him back a two days late?
On another note, Draughn's release indicates one thing: Jacoby Jones is just about ready to return. Draughn was brought in for special teams depth at returner. With Deonte Thompson and Tandon Doss in the fold, the only reason to keep Draughn on the roster is to have him ready in case they need a kick returner due to injury.
If Jones is available then depth is no longer a concern.
