Ravens Tied 21-All: 2nd Half 'Open Thread'

The Baltimore Ravens are tied with the Denver Broncos 21-all at the end of the first half of their AFC Divisional playoff game.

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

A huge mistake on punt coverage put the Baltimore Ravens in an early hole but a Joe Flacco long pass and a Corey Graham pick-six off a tipped Peyton Manning pass gave the Ravens a short-lived 14-7 lead.

Since then, the Broncos have ripped off two long TD drives to take the lead near the end of the first half. The Ravens have shown that they will not be laying down and falling behind so far like they did last time the two teams met. The return of Ray Lewis and a few other key players have this game a lot closer than last time.

The lack of pass pressure from the Ravens is obviously giving Manning the time to find open receivers and for whatever reason, defensive coordinator Dean Pees refuses to send the house to disrupt Manning's timing. Without pressure, Peyton will continue to pick apart the Ravens secondary and control the ball, as he is just too good to not wait patiently for his guys to get open.

However, after a missed Broncos field goal, Flacco calmly took the Ravens downfield for his second TD pass to Torrey Smith over Champ Bailey. Flacco had looked pretty passive since the first quarter but showed his resolve, confident and deadly arm when given time to throw.

Stick with this live chat and cheer the Ravens onto a victory that will propel Baltimore to hopefully another shot at the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. However, there is still 30 minutes of action for the Ravens to pull off the upset.

GO RAVENS!!!
